Cover Girl Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks
Cover Girl recently released a collection just for Katy Perry, Katy Kat. As you can guess by the name, its cat themed. As a cat lover and a lover of lipsticks I jumped on buying a few of the lipstick shades shades to try out. Since I haven't bought anything from Cover Girl in quite a few years I thought it really was a great time to give it a shot.
First off, I love the white packaging with the little cat ears on the names, very cute. Secondly, I love the the bottoms show off the shade, it makes for easy sorting and choosing. Third, I love that the lipsticks are matte, a matte collection will always appeal to me.
Kitty Purry is a pretty purple shade I love the most (and named after Katy's own cat),Pink Paws is a nice lighter pink, Coral Cat is of course coral, and Sphinx is a nude shade.
I found the formal creamy and smooth, which is a great thing about mattes now a days (this is technically a demi-matte formal), I am constantly reminded of thick mattes from the 90's that were just cakey. These go on smooth and not too thick in pigment so liner isn't necessary. They also have good for your lips ingredients like shea butter and aloe, so your lips actually don't feel like a dry waist-land after a few hours.

The collection features some much bolder choices that I passed on, such as a black and a blue, but I think they really suit Katy and the collection.
Overall I like the lipsticks I chose and would buy some more if I didn't have such a large collection already.
Have you tried any items from the Katy Kat Collection? What do you think of them?
