PanOxyl is a brand known for being fantastic for acne prone skin. I don't suffer from acne, but Mr. Fox sure does, so when I got the opportunity to try some of their product out, I said yes for his sake.
PanOxyl Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Creamy Wash
While PanOxyl's Foaming Wash has been getting a lot of attention lately, their Creamy Wash is truly fantastic product. It has 4% Benzoyl Peroxide in it to help kill bacteria that causes acne. It also helps prevent future breakouts by killing that bacteria and washing away dirt.
I asked Mr. Fox what he thought of it, he said he really liked it. To shed a little light, he has pretty oily acne prone skin, and this summer he has been working out a lot and then working outside every day (meaning sweat and sunscreen are all over his face). He gets sweaty and then breaks out.
Every day he comes home from the gym and washes his face, then later comes home after work and washes his face again. He found the more he used it the better his skin felt. It felt less oily and it got less congested and had fewer breakouts. His skin has been looking and feeling great.
PanOxyl Oil Control Moisturizer
This moisturizer as a 3-in-1 formula. It absorbs excess oil, it hydrates the skin and it has SPF 30 in it for sun protection.
When I ask Mr. Fox about the lotion he said he really liked it! When I asked for a bit more elaboration I learned he really liked that it absorbed his excess oil, like a lot.
Like he hasn't stopped talking about it! Basically, he never knew products excited that absorbed oil, and realizing he has never used an oil-absorbing primer before, I can see why this would seem pretty amazing. Regardless, he really liked this formula, his skin never got dry, but also his oil was under control for one of the first times ever.
PanOxyl Overnight Spot Patches
These little patches are popped onto your skin overnight and help clear up your blemishes while you sleep. They have hydrocolloid and are great because they work while you sleep and stop you from picking at your acne.
Sadly Mr. Fox did not have great luck with these. He tried them a few nights and just didn't like them. I have an extreme sticker aversion and frankly just can't bring myself to use them so I can't speak for them.
Overall, Mr. Fox really loved the wash and moisturizer. He's used all the wash up and is almost done the moisturizer. I am going to swing by the drug store and pick some more up for him next week, but I am also going to grab the foaming wash, mainly because I am intrigued by everything I've heard about it as an underarm wash, plus I think it will also help his skin.
PanOxyl Products are available at drug stores and mass retailers across Canada now.
